The article clarifies the essence of the concept of "personnel competitiveness" and defines its place in the system of related categories and concepts of labor economics, in particular, in relation to the category of "labor potential". The role and place of competitiveness of human resources in the system of labor relations of society are substantiated. The components of labor potential, which are competitive advantages at the present stage of the formation of the knowledge economy, have been determined. One of those in demand in crisis situations is the approach to personnel as an organizational resource. At the same time, the issues of training and retraining of personnel within the organization are of particular importance.
