Competitiveness of the Russian economy based on innovative activity

The reason for studying the problems affecting the economic competitiveness of the country is that it is relevant for all countries of the world economy. Competitiveness can be increased by increasing the contribution of various factors, but, above all, by introducing new technologies. The paper presents the key areas of the Strategy for Scientific and Technological Development of the Russian Federation until 2024. The dynamics of the main indicators of the scientific and technical sphere in Russia is considered, the volumes of Russian exports and imports of technologies are presented, the level of innovative activity of the Russian economy is determined and ways of its increase are proposed.
