Constitution and Russian state: political modernization and historical continuity

This article examines the role of the Russian Federation Constitution in the political development of the state. The author analyzes the correlation of political modernization and his-toxical continuity in its content. The author justifies the conclusion that the constitutional transition from a socialist to democratic state has completed and shows the continuity of the constitution in the context of the political and legal experience of the Russian state of the Imperial and Soviet periods.
