The article reveals the legal policy concept and analyses the content and structure of constitutional and legal policy of the Russian Federation in the field of physical education and sports. The main strategic guidelines and criteria of efficiency of realization of the constitutional and legal policy in physical education and sports are headlined. Special attention is paid to the normative component consolidating the basic elements of the legal regulation of the citizens’ rights in the field of physical education and sports.
