Constitutional and legal regulation of immunity and indemnity of parliamentarians as a guarantee of their independence

The article analyzes the regulation of immunity and indemnity of parliamentarians in the constitutions of a number of foreign countries. The author believes that the people’s representative should be protected by law from any external political forces. The necessity of constitutional and legal regulation of this institution is substantiated in order to ensure adequate regulation and achieve the level of minimum sufficiency of the rights of parliamentarians.
