Constitutional and legal status of a child in the Russian Federation

In a rapidly developing world, a child occupies a special position, so only in the Russian Federation in 2021 1,402,834 children were born, this is 2% of the total number. A child belongs to a special category of subjects of law, entering into various legal relations, in addition, it is minors who are the most vulnerable group of the population. The current Russian legislation inaccurately and incompletely defines the constitutional and legal status of a child. This article will consider the topic of the development of the problem of regulating the constitutional and legal status of the child in the Russian Federation, since the rights of the child, as well as human rights, constitute the highest value in the Russian Federation. In this regard, in this article I have tried to characterize the constitutional and legal status of the child, considered the constitutional basis for the consolidation of the rights of the child in the legislation of the Russian Federation, first of all, in the Constitution of the Russian Federation.
