The financing issues of political parties consider to be significant when determining their legal status and political role in a state. Due to the fact that a political party is the key political player, its funding issues de facto determine the financing of the political processes of the state. The research examines the laws and regulations related to the financial support for political parties of the Republic of Georgia. The author concludes that the state has proper control over the financial arrangements of party activities (both on the part of state authorities and with the assistance of specialized auditors). But at that point, a private-public funding system provides political and financial independence of political parties, which, in turn, ensures the proper enforcement of the political rights of citizens.
