Constitutional and legal foundations of the Russian federation policy in respect of compatriots abroad

The article carries out a complex analysis of the current legislation in the field of relations with compatriots abroad, on the basis of which it is suggested not only to improve it further, but also create acceptable conditions for voluntary migration of compatriots back to the Russian Federation, promotion of the Russian cultural heritage, expansion of cooperation between Russia and the Russian-speaking population living in other countries. To this end, it is necessary to study both positive and negative foreign experience of communication with compatriots and use it in domestic practice.
