The constitutional and legal foundation of disabled children protection in the Russian Federation

The article considers the legal position of disabled children in the context of international norms and Russian legislation. The statistical data testifying to increase of disability among children in Russia are given. The question of the need to study the current situation of children with disabilities and the mechanism of protection and realization of their rights is raised. The author lists the laws that contain the rights and guarantees of children, parents, guardians and Trustees. It is concluded that Russian legislation corresponds to the international standards. The problem of violation of rights caused by imperfection of the legal mechanism is raised. The practice of judicial protection of the violated rights of disabled children is summarized. The structure and content of the mechanism providing protection and realization of the rights of disabled children are investigated. There is statement that the Problem is the interaction of its parts. Measures for its improvement are offered.
