Constitutional law of Russia in value branch of legal science and discipline

The article considers the issues of correlation of industry and science of constitutional law, identified the main criteria for differentiating object and the subject of legal regulation and scientific research. The author focuses his attention on controversial and largely still unresolved problems of a science of constitutional law, illustrates the stages of development of this branch of scientific knowledge. Special attention is paid to the status of constitutional law in the sense of self-discipline.
