Constitutional control in foreign CIS and Baltic countries

The article discusses issues of constitutional control (supervision) of the republics of the CIS and Baltic countries. The author tried to study the provisions of the constitutions of the republics, the history of formation and trends in the development of the activities of constitutional justice bodies. The methodological basis of the research is a set of methods, including dialectical, general scientific and special scientific methods of cognition. The author notes the orientation of neighboring countries in building constitutional control bodies towards the European (Austrian) model. At the same time, in Kazakhstan, until recently, the French model of the activities of the constitutional council was used, and in Estonia and Kyrgyzstan, the Anglo-Saxon model with exceptions was used. The importance of having bodies of specialized constitutional control (supervision) in building a democratic, legal state in which the highest value is the person, his rights and freedoms is noted.
