The constitutional issue during the reign of Alexander the Second

The article examines the development of the constitutional issue during the reign of Alexander II, the idea of transforming the political system by introducing representative bodies and taking into account the "voice of the people" in governing the country, as well as the reasons for Al-exander II's rejection of the ideas of transforming autocracy during this period. The article analyzes the discussions that have developed among supporters and opponents of such transformations, on the basis of which the conclusion is made that Alexander II was not ready to accept them. The conclusion is made about the importance of the transformations carried out by Alexander II and the insufficiency of these reforms.
