Results of researches the durability of pipe joints, pipelines with thin-walled body elements like plates and shells are presented in article. On the basis of shells moment theory the analysis of stressed state of joint element is carried out; recommendations about design of the junctions for the purpose of decrease in tension, on ensuring equal strength of elements and on increase the durability are made.
