The paper considers the problem of the stress-strain state spoked wheel, which is under the action of a force applied to the wheel axle. A variational formulation is used, which makes it possible to take into account the displacement of the point of application of force (wheel center). The possibility of loss of stability of the spokes is also considered if the compressive force is sufficiently large. In this case, a contact problem arises with an unknown area of active interaction of structural elements.
