Contexts of informal employment: accident analysis of a young worker in the period of coronavirus

As in the case of a young worker occupied in an informal sector, the authors reveal the contexts, personal values and the concept of professional experience of a modern worker. The article is based on the empirical data obtained in the framework of a scientific project RFBR № 20-04-60221 "Strategies of conduct of worker in the labour market in poor epidemiologic conditions", namely - case-study, including in-depth biography-based interview, as well as the examination of a case of a worker A. The methodology of data obtaining is based on the longitudinal guideline. The first assessment was taken in October 2018, the second one in October 2020. It allowed to study the transformation of a young worker position, as well as his attitude to his occupation over the course of two years. The authors discuss the personal values related to informal labour activity of a worker in real time, including from the perspective of current epidemiologic situation. The paper presents the influence of modern digital technologies on the changes of contexts of informal labour activities and formation of professional consciousness of "a new worker". The authors describe the logic of transformation of his labour status: motives of transition from informal employed to selfemployed, as well as the changes of values of current work in new status from perspective of the epidemiologic situation.
