Smuggling of alcoholic beverages and (or) tobacco products: control problems from the point of view of the object of the crime

To date, smuggling schemes pose a colossal danger, the effectiveness of countering which depends on criminal law measures. This article presents a study of a specific object of crimes in the sphere of economic activity and an additional object of crime, responsibility for which is provided for in Article 200.2 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation. The analysis of the specific object of crimes in the sphere of economic activity is carried out. The Single Economic Space consisting of the territories of the EAEU member states, as well as trade and economic integration within the Customs Union are considered. Illegal import from the EAEU countries. The problems of legislation and law enforcement measures in the field of control over the movement of alcohol and tobacco products on the state border of the Russian Federation are outlined.
