Smuggling as a factor of economic security

The customs authorities in the Russian Federation, represented by the Federal Customs Service of Russia, perform a number of functions corresponding to a number of general functions of the state. The implementation of one of these functions is the implementation of actions in the law enforcement sphere within the competence assigned to the customs authorities. The article examines the role of anti-smuggling activities in ensuring the state's own economic security. The relevance of this article is due to the high dynamism of the world economy, which gives rise to various challenges for states, including in the plane of economic security.
