Contrastive approach to compilation of a explanatory-translation dictionary

The article presents a contrastive description of phraseological units, including three stages. The methodology of identification and registration of national - cultural, national - conceptual and national - linguistic peculiarities of these phraseological units in the process of studying foreign languages is proposed. Ways were outlined for the creation of a special linguodidactic lexicographic manual of a contrastive interpretive-translational type.
