Control of insulation characteristics of power generating assemblies during reactor tests

The study provides a justification and choice of a method for monitoring and diagnosing the electrical insulation characteristics of insulation to stabilize the generated electrical power of electric generating elements and assemblies of thermal emission converters. An equivalent electrical model and an electrical circuit for monitoring electrical insulation during tests at research nuclear reactors have been developed. With the help of the "multisim" program, an experimental verification of the method of measurements and calculations on single and multi-element assemblies was carried out. A good correspondence of the measured and calculated values of leakage currents for single-element power generating assemblies and significant deviations with an increase in the number of power generating elements in multi-element ones is shown. Degradation of the insulating properties of the collector package, or separately of the metal-ceramic emitter assembly, does not lead to significant losses of electrical power of the generating assembly, not exceeding 0.2%.
