Assessment of foreign language professional communicative competence of future foreign languages teachers

The article is devoted to the questions surrounding the process of preparing future foreign language teachers for effective professional communication. The notion of 'professional communicative competence of a foreign language teacher' is analyzed and the key components of the competence are revealed. An assessment model, which enables to evaluate the level of professional communicative skills of graduates from pedagogical universities and faculties, is introduced.
