The article substantiates the relevance of the study of the component composition of the body of female athletes engaged in extreme long - term cyclic loads to preserve their health and childbearing function. Women's 50 km walking is a new discipline of track and field athletics. This distance is extreme for the body of a woman and monitoring the component composition of the body of athletes is necessary. The study used such methods as theoretical analysis and generalization of literature data, bioimpedance analysis of the body, methods of mathematical statistics. The absolute (kg) and relative (%) values of the muscle component (M), the fat component (D), and the absolute value of the bone component (O) were determined by the bioimpedance method. The obtained results of the biomedance analysis indicate a low degree of variability in the component composition of the athletes ' body. This, in turn, suggests that the body composition of female athletes at the stage of higher sportsmanship is stable and varies within the limits of statistically insignificant values. A slight decrease in the absolute values of the muscle and fat components is normal for athletes specializing in sports with a predominant manifestation of endurance and is not a threat to the occurrence of dystrophy and other pathologies that threaten the health of athletes.
