Control of foreign language communicative competence formation level of high school students

The article is devoted to the peculiarities of diagnostics of foreign language communicative competence formation level of high school students. The article discusses the functions of control in teaching and learning foreign languages, the types of test tasks, their advantages and disadvantages, the criteria for evaluating the students’ performance at oral testing.
