The study focuses on the Nanai worldviews, determining the construction of their modern cultural landscape. A part of it is the images, related to the ethnic heritage and born in the context of shamanic traditions. Such markers of the Mythic space as a “border ”, “road ” correspond with the boundaries of living space, craft routes and passage, connecting the world of the living and the dead. The modern Nanai cultural space they are constants, whith overlaying structures, generated by social changes. This modification of animated environment is expressed in rethinking and a new interpretation of placenames, played the role of Mythic Cosmos loci; in the use of new levers and the approaches to connect with the spiritual world. The modern concept of an animated landscape retrieve the craft component - the core of the traditional world order and the part of the archaic heritage; in connection with the persecution of the Amur shamans in the Soviet period the shamanic ritual element was lost. Today, the mass media space is one of the main factors, which formed the new approaches to gain a better local history understanding, deepened it to the archaeological past and explained some events from a position of theosophical concepts. At this time, the informational field is the source of new places of worship, taboo areas on the map of Khabarovsk territory. The article is based on the authors field data, collected among Amur Nanais and include the observations and stories of informants Nanai area in the Khabarovsk Territory.
