The purpose of this article is an attempt to analyze the Quranic motifs and plots in the works of a number of Russian poets, such as Lukyan Yakubovich (1805-1839), Yakov Polonsky (1819-1898), Nikolai Grekov (1807-1866), Nikolai Karabchevsky (1852-1925), Mikhail Mikhailov (1829-1862) and Leo Kobylinsky-Ellis (1879-1947). Analyzing the issue of borrowing the content of the verses of the Quran and interpreting their meaning, as a way of expressing Quranic motifs in certain poems of the above-mentioned poets, the author of the article reveals that their poetry exactly follows the Quranic meanings and connotations. The methodology of this article is determined by the theory of a complex approach to the studied material, which allows us to consider certain verses of these poets as an example of oriental poetry with a pronounced Quranic theme. The novelty of the study lies in the fact that it attempt to analyze in detail the Quranic themes in the eastern lyrics of the named poets, whose works on Quranic themes have neither been put into scientific circulation, nor sufficiently developed in criticism and remain understudied. The author of the article concludes that Quranic literature played an important role in the works of Russian poets, whose poems were the object of analysis in this article.
