The Korean diaspora, significant in the economic and political spheres, is represented in all the countries of the “Greater Altai”: Russia, Kazakhstan, Mongolia and China. The Republic of Korea is demonstrating the effectiveness of the strategy for interaction with compatriots living abroad and actively cooperates with all the above-mentioned states. The comprehensive strategic partnership agreement concluded in 2024 between the Russian Federation and the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea has influenced both global politics and the foreign policy trajectories of the countries within the “Greater Altai”, as well as that of South Korea. In the context of ethno-political and interstate interaction of Russia, Kazakhstan, Mongolia, China with the countries of the Korean Peninsula in the trade and economic sphere, as well as the relevance of the formation of a transit system of Greater Eurasia, the study of the Korean diaspora is of particular interest. In this study Korean diaspora is analyzed as the subject of national policy of the host countries and an influencer on the political process towards the adoption of foreign policy decisions such as development of ethno political and interstate cooperation with the countries of Korean peninsula at the regional level.
