The article presents the developmental history of Kormčaja-type collections of written works as miscellanies, from Nomocanon of st. Methodios through the Printed Kormčaja publishing in 1653. The common features of the Slavic collections of the Church canons are defined. The basic patterns of the manuscript diversity are retraced; the influence of the book printing on the Kormčaja's manuscript structure, as well as its first printed edition, is also researched.
