The roots of the current future of Russian youth

Current futuristic dispositions of Russian youth in its correlation with the undergoing cultural changes in the world could be identified only through the still alive components of existing cultural legacy in the society, especially in the context of the global loss of tradition and its desacralization. The isolation of modern life from spiritual foundations is primarily associated with the loss of the tradition that has filled both the aesthe-tics of the cultural forms of previous eras and everyday life in its daily manifestations. Value and semantic chaos, which inevitably arises in the case of a lack of foundations, leads to the decline and profanation of human life. An appropriate response to this can and should be a return to tradition in its full form. The authors put forward a principal hypothesis about inevitable links between any viable comprehension of the future and the current meanings and resources of tradition.
