Corporations and institutions: the experience of formation of individual forms of legal entity

The article deals with the historical features of the formation of the concept of a legal entity. The author analyzes the formation and evolutionary development of the concept of a legal entity in Roman law, examines the role of legalists and canonists in this process, and examines in detail other concepts that influenced the formation of modern corporate and unitary legal entities.
