Бесплатный доступ

The article analyses the relation of structural indicators of regional crime and statistical results of law enforcement activity. Based on the constructing correlation matrices of dependencies of crime indicators in the subjects of the Siberian Federal District and calculation of the average values of the correlation coefficients in the matrices, the territorial entities on the average connection score were ranked. It is shown that the higher the average value of the correlation estimates, the stronger the mutual relation between the observed crime indicators. A number of regularities were revealed. In the subjects of the District with the lowest population density, as a rule, the least coherence of crime indicators are observed. Among the subjects with the least coherence of crime indicators there is an exceeding the natural population growth over migration outflows, a lower rate of crimes committed by organized groups and criminal communities, as well as a more specific rate of decline in the number of recorded crimes and the absence of obvious «spikes» or «collapses» in its dynamics.
