Correcting osteotomy for incorrect fracture healing of distal radial metaepiphysis using blocking plate angle stability

Surgical treatment for incorrect fracture healing of distal radial metaepiphysis was performed in 50 patients. Indications for the operation were: pain in wrist, decrease of capture force, deformity and decrease of motion volume in wrist joint. Correcting, open reposition and osteosynthesis of radius using АО plates with bone plasty was performed. In 42 patients long-term results were assessed. Routine scheme including objective and subjective functional assessment was used. 9 patients had excellent, 30 - good and 3 patients - satisfactory results. Best results were achieved when system with angle stability and early functional regime were applied.
