Short-term rehabilitation programme for specialists of state fire service of the Russian EMERCOM

Introduction. According to the researches the most effective and comprehensive programmes are rehabilitation programmes comprising physical, social, psychological, mental and economic components. Meanwhile in our country there is no standardized system of rehabilitation for officers of rescue services provided by normative documents of the Russian Ministry of the Russian Federation for Affairs for Civil Defence, Emergencies and Elimination of Consequences of Natural Disasters (Russian EMERCOM). Special training and readiness of rescue officers to effectively perform professional duties in cases of emergency do not protect them from psychic traumatization of different degree. Materials and Methods. Under consideration are the results of the studies conducted through the tests and psychophysiological analyser “Psychophysiologist” before and after the short-term rehabilitation programme for professional contingents of the Russian EMERCOM. The programme includes apparatus and psychocorrection methods of body psychotherapy, art-therapy, psychological self-regulation methods. Results and Discussion. The researches conducted in the North-west branch of “Centre of Emergency Psychological Aid of the Russian EMERCOM” enabled the authors to show the effectiveness of methods and means of short-term rehabilitation employed in the mentioned structure, which can become the element of the unified standardized rehabilitation using domestic methods and devices. Conclusions. For effective work of Fire-Rescue service it is necessary to create a short-term rehabilitation programme for psychophysiological rehabilitation of the EMERCOM personnel basing on the fire stations and introduce it as the methodical recommendations for specialists of psychological service of the Russian EMERCOM.
