The paper provides an overview of all sites with cremations ever discovered in the barbarian area of Crimea in the chronological range of the 6th century BC - 5th century AD. It examines main points of historiography, publishes a catalogue of all known sites which are 33 in total, and describes conclusions and observations. The results obtained show continuous presence of the cremation rite in Crimea starting from the Late Bronze Age and ending with the final stage of the Classical period. Throughout this period, the highest concentration of cremations is linked to southwestern Crimea where at one point Chersonese became an administrative-political and cultural center. In parallel, another cremation rite-collective cremation and cremation in stone constructions-prevailed in Mountainous Crimea and southwestern Crimea, it also existed in the 6th century BC - 3rd-4th centuries AD. At the same time during all stages the material culture (funeral offerings) of the cremated individuals in Crimea did not differ from that of those who adhered to the inhumation burial rite.
