Silicon-containing rocks to improve the quality of barley grain as concentrated feed

Бесплатный доступ

The studies were carried out with spring barley of the Raushan variety on gray forest soil (experimental field of the Laishevsky municipal district of the Republic of Tatarstan). The influence of silicon-containing rocks, such as diatomite and zeolite in doses of 5 t/ha, applied together with mineral fertilizers (N60P60K60 - background), on the yield and quality indicators of barley was studied. It has been established that the crop yield compared to the background when applying diatomite increases by 5.2 c/ha (624 units), zeolite - by 4.3 c/ha (516 units). The content of macroelements (nitrogen, phosphorus and potassium) in the grain relative to the background increases by 0.03-0.20 % when using diatomite, and by 0.03-0.06 % when using zeolite. The protein content in barley grain increases when using diatomite and zeolite by 0.89 and 0.06 %, respectively. Properly selected and environmentally friendly fertilizers are an important component in obtaining high-quality crop products used for animal feeding.
