Peasant family farms of Russia in the pre-war period

The issue of economic relations between the "proletarian city" and the "petty-bourgeois village" acquired political significance and therefore was resolved precisely politically - in the most decisive and radical way. The predominance of an ideologically prepared political principle during mass collectivization simultaneously predetermined the emergence of such a unique economic and social phenomenon as personal subsidiary farming.
