Peasant socialism by A.I. Hercena and N.G. Chernyshevsky

The article deals with the problems of Russian social thought during the abolition of serfdom. The issue of the duality of the Manifesto of February 19, 1861 was acute. Also, there was criticism of capitalism and proposals to replace it with socialism. It was believed that socialism will ensure high labor productivity and the overall standard of living of society.
