The article is devoted to the consideration of issues about the patterns of cognitive activity of the subject of investigation in the course of studying, recording and analyzing forensically significant features of a certain type of crime, including when putting forward versions in criminal cases in the absence of information about the offender; about the place of forensic characteristics of crimes in the structure of investigative techniques and its functional purpose, as well as about the types of tactical decisions that are most effective in investigating and solving crimes.
