Criminal religious extremism: analysis problems of the crimes composition

The subjective and objective qualitative characteristics of criminal religious extremism are presented; problems of the interpretation of blanket norms concerning criminal responsibility for criminal acts of an extremist religious nature are analyzed. The distinctive features of the system of views and ideas reflecting social being are shown, which significantly influence the propagation of the ideology of extremism among the population, as well as on law enforcement activities. A great social vulnerability of young people, due to their age-related psychological characteristics, is seen as a favourable condition for fostering adherence to extreme views and the emergence of extremist manifestations. The key trends in the prevention of criminal religious extremism have been developed.
