The article provides a brief analysis of the factors contributing to the criminological determination of protest activity and radicalization by the example of representatives of LGBT communities, youth, migrants and people in places of detention. The author considers protest activity as one of the forms of manifestations of civic activity, briefly analyzes its new methods and forms, gender and age and demographic characteristics of the most actively involved subjects. The study found that the most significant individual factors contributing to the radicalization and increase of protest activity are identity crisis, loss of value ideals, alienation, deprivation. Among the most significant contextual factors of radicalization and protest activity are the imbalance of decisions of state bodies, the mismatch between socio-economic transformations in society and the expectations of the population, the destruction of the existing system of public values, the destructive activities of radical organizations aimed at social disintegration of society, deformation of public legal consciousness and artificial construction of the mental model of personality (society). The study made it possible to establish that protest activity, radicalization, and extremism are interdependent phenomena caused by similar determinants; and criminogenic victimization is an independent factor causing protest activity and radicalization. Based on the data obtained, a dynamic version of the model for the development of the process of criminogenic victimization under the conditions of radicalization and protest activity has been developed, which allows us to explain the presence of factors influencing the process of the formation of criminogenic victimization and its influence on the development trends of radicalization and protest activity.
