The study of the identity of a person committing crimes related to illegal drug trafficking is of an important criminological significance. The author examines the classification and typology of the identity of a person committing crimes related to illegal drug trafficking in the region of responsibility of the member states of the Collective Security Treaty Organization. The socio-demographic and legal characteristics of this person are highlighted. The criminological significance of the internal typology of the CSTO member states is revealed, on the basis of which the typical features of the identity of a person committing drug crimes are presented.
