The article analyzes the concept of the identity of the criminal who commits illegal production, sale or shipment of drugs using his official position. It is noted that in criminology there are different approaches to the study of the personality of the criminal. All researchers agree that the personality of the criminal is characterized by a complex of features but there is no consensus on the grouping of these features and the allocation of the fundamental, main ones. The article also addresses the issues of classification and typologization of the criminals personality and typologizes criminals personality who commits illegal production, sale or shipment of drugs using his official position. Knowledge and understanding of the criminological characteristics and personality type of the criminal person who commits illegal production, sale or shipment of drugs using his official position is necessary for effective prevention of this type of crime.
