Criminological characteristics of illicit drug trafficking of the opium group in the Republic of Tatarstan

The article, based on official statistics, reflects the quantitative indicators of drug crimes in the Republic of Tatarstan, the dynamics of the number of patients registered in medical organizations of the Ministry of Health of the Russian Federation with drug dependence syndrome, including the number of patients suffering from drug addiction due to the use of drugs of the opium group, as well as information on drug seizures in the Volga Federal District and its subject - the Republic of Tatarstan. In addition, the article provides specific examples of the detention of citizens trying to bring heroin across the border and the suppression of drug supply channels.
