Criminological prevention of transport crime

The article presents the results of a study of the official statistical data of PKU «GIAC Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia» for 2016-2018 on the progress of the implementation of a comprehensive program for the prevention of crime in transport. In accordance with modern legislation, one of the main areas of crime prevention is monitoring in this area, which is a system of monitoring the state of crime prevention, analysis and forecasting of causes and conditions conducive to the commission of offenses, as well as an assessment of the effectiveness of crime prevention subjects. The results of the analysis of indicators characterizing the state of crime prevention in transport in the Russian Federation in 2016-2018 suggested that a decrease in the values of the studied indicators, in conjunction with other criminogenic factors, act as a condition determining the growth of a number of crimes committed at transport facilities.
