Criminological portrait of the personality of the modern corruption criminal

The article deals with criminological characteristics of the personality of a modern corrupt criminal. These criminological characteristics are determined thanks to analysis of official statistics from the Russian Ministry of Internal Affairs, the Judicial Department and the Prosecutor General’s Office, materials of law enforcement practice, the results of the questioning among officers of criminal investigation, economic security and combating corruption departments, as well as the questioning among students of higher educational institutions in Russia. The author’s definition of the criminological characteristics of the personality of a modern corrupt criminal is proposed, as well as a typical criminological portrait of a criminal, who commits or is inclined to commit, corruption-related crimes.
