Cryodestruction as a method of choice for treatment of malignant eyelid skin tumors

47 patients with malignant eyelid skin tumors T1N0M0 (st. I-II) received cryogenic influence as an alter-native to radio- and surgical treatment at «Head and Neck Tumors» department and policlinic depart-ment. Subsequent surveillance revealed no recurrences in 39 patients with T1N0M0 (st. I) during ten-year observation. 2 of 8 patients with T2N0M0 (St. II) had continued tumor growth 2 and 5 months, in 1 case recurrence occurred 18 months after treatment. The patients with continued tumor growth under-went surgical treatment, and the patient with recurrence received repeated cryogenic influence. During subsequent surveillance no new recurrences were observed. Thus, cryodestruction is a method of choice for treatment of malignant eyelid skin tumors T1N0M0-T2N0M0 (st. I-II).
