Criteria and optimization of the efficiency of correction of convicts: theoretical and legal aspects

The article deals with the problems of achieving the goals and objectives of the criminal executive legislation of the Russian Federation. The modern organization of the execution of punishments related to the deprivation of a convicted liberty is criticized. The theoretical and practical aspects of the criteria for the correction of the offender are analyzed. The most optimal criteria for the resocialization of the individual in isolation from society are substantiated. The conclusion is made about the importance of the law enforcement assessment of the convicted person's desire for successful social reintegration.
