Criteria and indicators of food security assessment

The article shows that such an important socioeconomic objective as food security is not solved properly in Russia. One of the reasons is insufficient development of socioeconomic monitoring systems, a component of which is the criterion-diagnostic apparatus. The authors present an approach to the definition of assessment indicators of food security as one of the most important elements of the national security, which makes the assessment more objective.
