Criteria for choosing illustrative material during the German lessons

The authors of the article analyze the criteria for choosing certain illustrative material during the German lessons. They distinguish 12 criteria for choosing pictures, both of general and cross-cultural character. They give a short description of every criterion and underline their role in motivation for the German language learning. The authors used the data of Goethe Institute «Bilder in der Landeskunde».
