Kant’s critical theory as an "analytical argument" in P. F. Strawson’s interpretation

Бесплатный доступ

The author analyzes the interpretationof Kant’s «Critique of pure reason», undertaken by P.F. Strawson, who attempts to reinvent Kant’s theory on the principles of analytic tradition as an «analytical argument» separated from metaphysical doctrine of transcendental idealism. Strawson’s criticism is compared to later and more sympathetic interpretative efforts made by H. Allison and R. Hanna. These efforts together with arguments provided by L. Abramyan and L. Kalinnikov forms the basis for the proposed solution for the problem of noumenal affection. Strawson’s analytical argument is shown to meet problems trying to explain synthetic cognitive operations.
