This article examines the impact of cross-functional team competencies on the outcomes of pro-cess management. It delineates the relationship between the effectiveness of process management and the com-petencies of cross-functional team members. Key distinctions between cross-functional teams and standard workgroups are identified, leading to the identification of characteristics inherent to cross-functional teams. These features facilitate the formation of competencies among participants in cross-functional teams, which include pro-fessional, managerial, and personal skills. The necessity for training in cross-functional competencies is substanti-ated, and various training modalities are presented, encompassing both internal company programs and external resources. Methods for developing cross-functional competencies are highlighted, consisting of traditional and in-novative approaches that leverage gamification techniques. Furthermore, performance indicators for assessing the effectiveness of competencies among participants in cross-functional processes are identified. These indicators enable an evaluation of how their competencies affects the final results of process management activities.
