The relevance of this problem is determined by the growing number of international students in Russian universities and the need to account for cultural differences in ensuring their psychological well-being. The novelty lies in a cross-cultural analysis of factors affecting the well-being of students studying outside their native cultural environment. The article summarizes the results of an analytical- empirical study of foreign students’ psychological well-being. A comprehensive approach was used, including analysis of previous research data and comparison of groups of Russian and foreign students. The main methods were surveys and psychodiagnostic techniques aimed at assessing subjective well-being, adaptation to the new sociocultural environment, and related factors. It was found that successful intercultural adaptation is a crucial condition for the psychological well-being of foreign students.
